Our Herd |
 |
Our small herd has now grown to 24. We had four new crias this year: two Calypsa sons and two black girls out of Chilton and Silver Scorpion. We are thrilled with our new kids. Look for them in the show ring next year! Additionally, we bought a new silver gray female, Miss Katie, and a new black herdsire, Classic Black Night, whom we discovered when we were out in Ohio.
We have expanded the genetics of our black and gray line through the acquisition of several notable herdsires during the past two years: Jericho de Chuchuta (true black), Silver Scorpion (medium silver gray) and Classic Black Night (true black). These boys, together with our own true black, BSF Federico, rose gray, BSF Eduardo, and silver gray, BSF Chilton, have given us a lot of breeding options.
Silver Scorpion and Eduardo, both co-owned with Wool & Gray Alpacas, will be standing at stud between May 1st and November 1st at their farm in Flemington, NJ and will reside here from November to May. Federico is co-owned with Windy Farm where he will be standing at stud after May 1st. Classic Black Night is co-owned with Brass Ring Alpaca Farm.
We have crossed alpacas of Peruvian ancestry with Chileans to produce excellent fleece in a diverse array of colors. We are breeding for conformation, superior quality fleece and disposition. Our animals are all handled on a daily basis. They are friendly and fun. If you are interested in buying alpacas, please see our sales list for more information.
All our alpacas are registered with the Alpaca Registry. |

SHRA Calypsa
ARI #819705 |
2/24/00 |
Full Accoyo and a blue ribbon winner at the 2001 AOBA show in Portland,

and grandson of Pperuvian Caligula on this dam's side, Calypsa has perfect
conformation and incredible fleece. His fiber is a champagne color light
fawn. His 22.5 micron count as well as his density and coverage are awesome.
I never believed that you could shear 10 pounds of fleece from a single
animal until now! In the past two years he has won first place and second
ribbons in all the Spin-offs he has entered: AOBA Nationals, F2F, the AWE,
and OABA. With 18 colorful award-winning crias (including white, beige,
fawn, dark brown and silver gray, he has proven himself in the field. With 26 colorful award-winning crias of every color (including white, beige, fawn, brown, black, rose gray and silver gray, he has proven himself in the field. He is one of those rare Accoyos that produce color! |

ARI #31014588 |
9/10/07 |
We chose to breed Velvet to Chilton to add some size and hoped for a possible gray result. Helena is a beautiful true black female with some silver tips through her blanket, so she may be a gray after all—indefinite dark? Whatever her color, she is an amazing sight as she streaks across the field to outrun the boys. She has Chilton’s upright carriage and size with her dam’s incredible fleece. |

ARI# 1362473 |
7/21/05 |
Glow-in-the-dark white, this boy radiates in the moonlight and is full
of personality. Orphaned shortly after birth, he wasted no time in finding
a new mom to adopt him and endeared himself to all the dams in the herd
who took turns nursing him. He is growing into a fine lad with awesome fleece. He recently took a first place at the SEPA show. |
BSF Gilbert

9/15/06 |
Gilbert is the latest creation of Jericho and Brittany and is already showing qualities of a great herdsire. Harrison, out of Cerise and Calypsa, is a whirlwind of energy and already trying to imitate the older boys. He has great conformation and promises to have extremely soft fleece. His color is a very uniform light brown. |
BSF Hunter
